Warren St NW @40th Street – (ONP #268)

I’m behind on posting all these New Places (but not behind on seeing them!), so I’ll make these next few blog entries short.

Today’s New Place initially seemed pretty unexciting. I found it with daylight thinning at the end of a busy day, while I was running late and hungry and wanted to get home and felt like I had already seen most of the places and roads in the vicinity.  So when I parked, I felt like I was “settling’ for a sub-par new place. But you know what?  Even this one had some nice little details:

For example a rabbit!  (A wabbit!  A wabbit!  I saw a wabbit!). A decidedly more upscale kind of rodent In than we see in my neighborhood! Also, an interesting firehouse, and a pretty little brick house set off by itself.  Not to mention an alley with more green plants than red bricks.

So saluting the “sleepers” out there: those inauspicious places that reveal some nice little surprises when you pay attention.
