Quelle dilema!  My original New Place today (the REI store in NE DC) got usurped by a spontaneous New Place (the unit block of Pierce Street NW), when we took a stroll around the neighborhood and discovered the street’s pink and white anime-inspired mural and a reflective glass office building that mirrored the sky and the opposing buildings. Since I can’t decide, I’ll post a few pics of both New Places here.

To add to the bounty, the outing also included a stop at one of my favorite New Places from April 28, Wundergarten, (some friends had heard me talk about it and wanted to check it out), and a walk by one of my most exciting New Places from June 11—NPR, where Dave Matthews surprised our tour group with a Tiny Desk Concert. It’s fun to see how all these places are connected . .
