September 12 – Alley between Kenyon & Kilbourne Street NW (ONP #255)

Alley Dive!! I was craving a good old fashioned DC alley dive, after a few weeks up in small-town Pennsylvania.

The alley we found (in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood, behind 18th Street, NW, between Kenyon and Kilbourne) was  especially cool because it wasn’t just one linear alley, but rather a network of connecting alleys, chock full of all the good ol’ DC alley things: street art, rat traps, garbage cans, great back-yard architecture, patios, a few attempts at beautification with flowers, all hodged and podged together.

Love my alley dives!
